Changing

This is a stop-motion animation short film made with clay and colored paper. It was my first time using this animation technique. Although it is still a bit rough, I was able to convey the message I wanted to express through the work. I used a mobile app, so the effect is not very good. But I think this work successfully sparked my interest in stop-motion animation, and I also admire the energy and creativity that stop-motion animators put into their work.

Story

The message that this work intends to convey is the process of change. Every experience in life is an important element that shapes our personality, whether it's good or bad, it's all a part of us. In this story, I want to emphasize that when we embark on a new environment or a new path in life, we often start off as a colorless clay, just like the protagonist. But as we go through many experiences, we slowly start to acquire other colors. This work has a strong personal connection to me because I left my hometown and went to an international school overseas during my primary school years. This new environment was a big change for me, but because of the people I met from all over the world, my perspective broadened, and I believe I became a better version of myself with freer thoughts.
